I am a Jikiden Reiki Shihan (full teacher), this means that I am authorized to teach Reiki training seminars for both the shoden 初傳 (level one) and okuden 奥傳 (level two) levels of Jikiden Reiki.
The Jikiden Reiki seminars I teach follow the curriculum of the Jikiden Reiki Kenkykai (Institute) and all seminar materials (training manual and certificate) are issued directly to you from the Institute located in Kyoto Japan. Jikiden Reiki is the ONLY source for learning the original way Reiki was taught and practiced in Japan during the 1930s. The Jikiden Reiki Institute take great efforts to ensure the purity and quality of the curriculum, passing down everything as it was taught to Chiyoko Yamaguchi by Chujiro Hayashi in 1938.
Reiki with Jotaro students can benefit from a close and direct connection with the Institute. This connection ensures a consistency in curriculum and standards of quality.

JIKIDEN REIKI SEMINARS @ REIKI WITH JOTARO
I teach the first two levels of Jikiden Reiki. Each level can be studied individually, or together (called a 'Full Seminar') allowing you to learn at your own pace. The primary goal of my seminars are to present Jikiden Reiki in a clear and practical manner that stays true to the Institute's standards and honors the legacy of Chiyoko sensei. I currently schedule seminars as seasonal events (winter/spring/summer/autumn), but I am also available for private or sponsored seminars if the scheduled dates do not fit into your life. Below is information for each of the levels of Jikiden Reiki I teach, the curriculum, prerequisites and seminar participation fees.
JIKIDEN REIKI SHODEN LEVEL (FIRST TEACHINGS / REIKI LEVEL I)
Shoden is the foundation of Reiki practice. This level you will learn basic techniques, concepts and history of Jikiden Reiki. The techniques taught have a practical sense with a focus on physical treatment. This is a two day seminar that features a balance of theoretical learning and practical hands-on instruction. When the seminar is finished, you will understand the content and be confident in putting what you learned to use.
JIKIDEN REIKI SHODEN LEVEL PREREQUISITES
There are no prerequisites for study of the shoden level of Jikiden Reiki. This seminar is perfect for Reiki beginners, as well as those who have been practicing Reiki for years.

Explanation of key terms and concepts found in Reiki practice.

An in-depth examination of the kanji (Japanese characters) used for writing 'Reiki'.

The Reiki Gokai (five Reiki precepts) - the proper meaning and understanding and how to recite them in Japanese.

The first shirushi (symbol) used in Jikiden Reiki, along with its meaning and proper usage.

JIKIDEN REIKI OKUDEN LEVEL (INNER TEACHINGS / REIKI LEVEL II)
Okuden is an intermediate level of Reiki practice and provides you with advanced treatment techniques that focus on mental/emotional and psychological issues and treating those not physically present (distant Reiki treatment) with you. This is a one day seminar that features a balance of theoretical learning and practical hands-on instruction. When the seminar is finished, you will understand the content and be confident putting what you learned to use.
JIKIDEN REIKI OKUDEN LEVEL SEMINAR PREREQUISITES
Before registering for the Jikiden Reiki okuden level seminar it is required that you first study the shoden level of JIKIDEN REIKI. Reiki training in another style of Reiki - regardless of level - is not accepted. The Jikiden Reiki Kenkyukai (Institute) has strict standards of education and believes in maintaining the integrity of what was passed down to us. We do respect any previous Reiki experience that you may have (and welcome you as a student), but our goal is to pass on these teachings in as pure of a way as possible. Because of this, we ask that you allow for the natural progression of the teachings.
