What is known as Reiki today was originally called Shinshin Kaizen Usui Reiki Ryoho, which means, the Usui Reiki treatment method for improvement of body and mind. Treatment is an important element to Reiki practice. Reiki treatments can be given to ourselves, or to other people. Receiving a Reiki treatment can assist you in recovery from illness or injury. It can help you find peace of mind and re-finding your center.

HOW DOES REIKI WORK IN A TREATMENT SESSION?
Reiki works along with the recipient's own natural healing system to help the body eliminate toxins and return to healthy function. During a reiki treatment session, the practitioner gently places their hands upon the recipient and channels reiki energy into their body. This energy then interacts with the toxins within the recipient's body and helps to break them up into more easily manageable concentrations. The reiki energy also serves to revitalize the recipient's immune system to assist in the removal of the toxins from the body.
Most people notice results of some kind even after only one treatment session. It should be noted however that with more severe issues it may be necessary for the recipient to receive more than one treatment session in order to help eliminate the toxins fully. Please consult your Reiki practitioner for advice in this matter.
It should be noted that receiving reiki treatment sessions should be viewed as a compliment to modern medical treatment and should never be viewed as a replacement for conventional medical care. If you are currently seeing a medical professional for treatment, please consult with them about Reiki and do not discontinue treatment unless given the approval by your doctor.
WHY CHOOSE JOTARO FOR YOUR REIKI TREATMENT SESSION?
Simply put, EXPERIENCE. Jotaro has been practicing Reiki for over twenty years. During that time, he has had the opportunity to give reiki treatment sessions for a lot of different issues that the people who came to him were experiencing. This has allowed him to understand how to best approach many common conditions for the best results possible. One example of this can be found in his practice of what he calls 'active treatment' that is specific to each individual treatment recipient. It is common that many Reiki practitioners follow a set of hand placements that were taught to them, leaving their hands in place for 5 to 10 minutes in each position. They operate under the belief that reiki is 'intelligent energy' and will automatically go to the areas where it is most needed. Jotaro, instead applies reiki 'actively' during his treatment sessions. Active treatment means that reiki is applied directly to the problem area, sometimes for a very long time. This is how Usui sensei (the founder of Reiki Ryoho) also did his treatment sessions. In an interview with Usui he says, "...if there is a problem with the eyes, treat the eyes. If a problem with the stomach, treat the stomach". This is a very good example of active treatment. As a practitioner of Jikiden Reiki, a traditional style of Japanese Reiki Ryoho, Jotaro has received extensive training in how to utilize reiki in this manner for the best reiki experience possible.
WHAT TO EXPECT DURING YOUR TREATMENT SESSION
Since Jotaro customizes each treatment session to the individual recipient, there is no standard way in which he gives a treatment session. Some basic things to expect are to have a brief conversation before the session begins. This will help Jotaro understand the goals you have for the session and for what reasons you are seeking treatment. After the discussion, you will lay on the treatment table, FULLY CLOTHED and the treatment will begin. Jotaro most often starts at your head and then addresses the problem or issues that you discussed earlier in the conversation.
Since everyone's experience with reiki is unique, not everyone has the same kind of experiences during the treatment session. It is not uncommon for recipients of reiki sessions to experience heat from the practitioners hands, tingling sensations and a feeling of relaxation (some even fall asleep). Overall, most people report a very positive experience with their reiki treatment session.
HOW TO SCHEDULE YOUR TREATMENT SESSION
Because Jotaro offers reiki services from his home, he is available for treatment sessions by appointment only. To schedule a session with Jotaro, please contact him with a brief description of why you are seeking a treatment session. He will contact you back within 24 hours (often sooner) to set up the details of the appointment.
When you come to your appointment, please allow for about 15 minutes extra time to fill out some paperwork. These forms are required by the state of Minnesota to be completed prior to the beginning of your first treatment session with us. If you would prefer to save a little time, you can download and print the forms below. You can then bring the completed forms with you to the appointment. You can also print copies of these forms to keep for your own records if you desire.

JOTARO'S REIKI TREATMENT SESSION FEES
Jotaro tries to make it as affordable as possible for people to receive reiki treatment sessions. This is done by setting his fees as low as possible and by offering discounted packages for multiple treatment sessions. Jotaro's reiki treatment fees are listed below.
Single Reiki treatment session - $75
Package of 3 Reiki treatment sessions - $175 ($20 discount)
Package of 5 Reiki treatment sessions - $275 ($50 discount)
Jotaro also offers a mobile Reiki service for those who have mobility issues and are unable to come to his treatment room. Jotaro will bring his treatment table to you, in the location of your choice (such as hospital/hospice rooms, or your home). This service requires a small additional fee of $10 - $20 depending on distance. Contact Jotaro for any questions you have.
Payment for reiki treatment sessions with Jotaro can be made in person at the time of your scheduled reiki treatment session. We accept bank/credit card payments, which are securely processed through Square. Cash payments, or payments made with personal checks can be accepted in person.
